Remote IP Cameras

An IP Camera is a camera that can
be
connected to a computer directly via a network card. It can also be connected to a full network via
a hub/switch. However if you wish to stream over the internet and record remotely,
you will require a router. (See Routers in
Products section). By streaming your camera on
the internet it can be viewed anywhere in the world. Just think, you can check your
house, pets or even the children while at work or on holiday. Ideal for in
house security and many other applications.
You can connect as many cameras as you wish to your network. They can be indoor or outdoor (outdoor requires enclosure). Each unit is given its own number (IP address) so that you can select that camera to view. These cameras can record onto a local hard disk or to an FTP site. The latter means you have evidence even up to the point the equipment was stopped / stolen. They can also detect movement in areas located in the "viewed area" by selecting a grid and turning on the locations on the viewed area for movement. (extra software required)
